Penang, Malaysia

As promised! my 2nd post on Penang food, not exactly the typical famous Penang food, Laksa, Nasi Kandar, Roti Canai, Satay, Char Koey Teow,...etc but some of favorite home cook(by my uncle) meal.
the 1st pic is among my favourite. Deep fried shredded yam and mushroom dip with a special sauce, 2nd is Bean curb with mushroom in egg sauce and 3rd simple stir-fry mix vegetable
here comes the good stuff, 'Lo Bak'(chrispy pork meat roll), Curry chicken and jeng jeng jeng my favorite Kapitan chicken(i brought back abit of the Kapitan curry paste, prepared by my uncle) i'm so lucky ><
Grill crabs (well this is from a seafood restaurant @ Batu Kawan) food is good but abit pricey

Last month was the local fruits season, so alots of Durian, Mangos, Mangosteens and Rambutans. So if you are a fan of this King of fruit make a trip to Penang, Malaysia.
Durian, Some hate it because it stinks(like shit), sticky, spiky exterior and STINKS but i like it! it's creamy texture and it's powerful taste super yummy! ><
you'll have to try it to feel it for yourself!

Penang! I always love Penang, Pearl of the Orient. Why? besides the fact that i was born and raise here and where my family and friends are, It's a very laid-back, not overly developed(like in Kuala Lumpur) and you can find anything here(well almost) we got beaches, hills, good food, friendly people, natures, modern and historical buildings, a place where you can feel it's rich and diverse culture and George Town is also awarded with UNESCO's World Heritage.

picture take from mainland, Butterworth overlooking @ Penang Island

so peaceful and beautiful.... I LOVE PENANG!
