Antibes, France

Wokay! the last stop of our 10 days down south of France (the French Riviera), not too far from Nice about 1 hour + bus ride(line 200) away a small town called Antibes. As usual round trip cost only 2Euro. We did no research on this area, but since it's not too wide away...so what the heck! to our surprise this small town is actually worth the 1 hour trip.

White sandy beach, blue Mediterranean sea (of course), morning markets, small interesting cozy cafes, a Picasso museum and it's not too crowded like in Nice ;)

one of the highlights of Antibes is the Fort Carre,
but it was too far away by foot so we decided to skip it.

ahhhh~~ dessert :)

here is where they have their morning market

the things they sell here kind of the same as the one @  Cours Saleya (Nice)
only they have roof above them....hehe goodd

love this shot ^^

Cathedral

:) love the color and the fading paint on the wall....blend so well

our prime stop. Picasso museum located in a castle called Grimaldi Chateau

someone acting to be art pro ><

at the beginning of the 20th Century, many writers and artists came to Antibes and Picasso was one of them.

Joan Miro's sculpture @ Picasso museum

small garden @ Picasso museum overlooked the Mediterranean sea

i wonder who left his/ hers arrow there :/

if Nice is too crowded for you. Get your bikini  or go topless here and enjoy the white sandy beach while reading your book and suntan :)
ahhh... life..what more can a person asked for

like the design

It's quite safe to walked around the town. Plus it's clean here

Boon @ Antibes

took the bus early morning and spend the whole afternoon here
before heading back to Nice, which was enough in my opinion.
So that is how i spend my 10 days @ the French Riviera :)

Cannes, France

walking on the street where the rich and famous walk, touching things that Brad Pitt might have touch before....how cool is that??! Cannes is THE place to be during the annual Cannes International film festival in May, where you got to see all the international movie stars in one place! too bad i was few months late, oh well! who cares i'm in CANNES!!!!

From Nice as usual you can take the bus to Cannes for 2 Euro(round trip) but the journey was a little bit dreadful. The bus ride from Nice to Cannes takes 2hours + and the bus is always pack and the weather is hot baby screaming....u get the picture. If you are traveling with higher budget i suggest you take the train which takes shorted time and cost about 10Euro.

Finally 2.5hours bus ride...i'm here!!

Hotel de Ville. had to jump up for this shot ><

there was a parade of the army of USA, France...etc to commemorate something i think

to the Palais des Festivals et des Congres!! woo hoo

just beside the Palais des Festivals there is a nice air conditioning Tourist Information

on the way out i spotted Angelina Jolie!!!!!'s hand print and signature ;P

my mom's favorite

i'm a STAR :P (bitchy voice)

he is not, just my stalker

all the start wannabe

Palais des Festival

i got to confess, i'm one of Charlie's Angels..shhh!

:)

checking out the beach.....

Cannes is also famous for its various luxury shops
shopping time!

ohya! The McDonald in south of France it a little different. Why? you need a toilet code to pee!
I'm not sure if the codes are change daily! if you don't want to buy anything (because the code is on the receipt) just wait by the door till someone opens it ;p

local delicacy

some black and white shots of the town building

walking around aimlessly

we walked up to a fortress or a church(not sure) up the hill

there are also a tourist ride up

the view

we can even see the Palais des Festival and

the Cannes town from up there...

time to take the bus back, another 2 hours dreadful ride :S

Overall it's a nice relaxing day trip, If you are here to see alot of exciting museums or sightseeing you'll be dissapointed. Cannes is more for a easy lay-back lazying on the sandy beach kinda of place and of course shopping!! Will i be back...well maybe when Chris Hemsworth or Hayden Christensen or oh! oh! Johnny boy is in town
