Museum Oceanographic, Monaco

For those of you who have seen my previous post on Monaco and also the sneak peek of the Museum Oceanographic, here are the full tour of the museum. It's huge, educational, fun and awesome place to avoid the summer heat...><

like i say it's huge, this building actually took 11 years to build.

this is the actual car that the recent royal wedding used. Quite modest for a rich country :)

this museum actually house 4 thousand species of fishy

 the tropical marine ecosystem

more than 200 kind of invertebrate

what do you see?

there are also the Mediterranean marine ecosystem, well we are after all near to the Mediterranean sea

they also have "mini" auditorium

love this octopus

it's quite realistic..they even make it look slimy

did i mention that there are quite a numbers of things from the recent royal wedding?
the princess's tiara...

the royal wedding attires (which were really gorgeous)

love how they put all things together without looking over crowded or messy

now we are at the BONE section

bone there

everywhere bone bone

decos made out of seashells
uhla la la....elegant

they are quite serious with the ocean theme here...from the mosaic to this spiky ceiling light

i wonder what's on his mind at that very moment...??
Boon: errrrr

the wax men really look real

the roof top view

it's awesome!

At 1st i wasn't really interesting to be wasting time in a Museum about fish but then it's a combination ticket together with the Neapolitan and the Prince's apartment so what the heck. Overall i kind of love it! totally recommend the combination ticket!!!

Marc Chagall Museum - Nice, France

I wasn't really a Marc Chagall fan nor I've ever heard of him till my last trip to Nice, i visited a Marc Chagall Museum. I was blown away by his artwork. He was a French painter of Russian-Jewish origin and most of his painting's main themes are from the Biblical and from the circus.

@ the entrance

interior....not Marc Chagall artwork yet

there is also a mini theater. So if you understand French and would know more about Mr Chagall. Feel free to sit down and enjoy the movie about his life for about 55minutes

stained glass window by you know who :)

and now his paintings

love the color combinations

thank god they have this benches, so it's really nice to just sitting there and admired the painting

song of songs

here are a few of my favorites
paintings of the song of songs cycle

each one is a unique representation of love and all are a symphony of colors dedicated to love

red

one of Mr Chagall's many mural

the museum isn't big but i think it's enough to dazzled you for 1 whole hour :)
oh ya! it's also a nice place to escaped the afternoon heat
