view along the way
another short stop
cute ball shape shrub/ tumble weed. we even saw few tumble weeds being blown across the highway, just like in the old wild west movie...haha
after another 15-20 minutes drive we stop over to Hoover Dam before continuing our 4 hours drive to the Grand Canyon. there are places where you parked for free which is on the Arizona side
Hoover Dam is on the border between Arizona and Nevada
the dam is quite dry
Boon told me this is where they film Transformers. I didn't realize it until i saw that towers behind me
the water was pretty low
but really beautiful place
there is a 1 hour difference between this 2 borders
cool
see that beige building on the left? it's a parking building. That would cost you $5 or is it $10? to park there but there is a tourist information and a small museum i think
oh this dam was named after a US President
enjoying the breeze
we were so lucky, weather was perfect
we were glad that we stopped over, or else would have missed this beautiful landscape.
we had a small mishap, where we were locked out from our car. We were freaking out at 1st but thank god there was a small souvenir shop nearby who helped us called for help. Did you know that the Police here have the equipment to unlocked your car? Call me naive, i really didn't know . I was like, we are in trouble, need to spend some money to call the AAA to unlocked the car. And we didn't have anything on us at that time...everything was in the car, wallet, phone.....everything!
I really would like to Thank the Police officer and the lady who helped us call the police for help. THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!
next stop Grand Canyon
~ bye ~
