The site was design by President Kennedy's long-time friend architect John Carl Warnecke. The permanent site (opened to the public on Mar 15, 1967), replaced a temporary grace and eternal flame used during President Kennedy's funeral on Nov 25, 1963.

we were too tired to walk any nearer, there is a visitor center but maybe next time

The Capitol is among the most architecturally impressive and symbolically important buildings in the world . The Senate and the House of Representatives have met here for more than 2 centuries. Begun in 1793, the Capitol has been built, burnt, rebuilt, extended and restored

I really like visiting Washington D.C, it's clean, organize and it's really nice to just walk around during spring and so much to see. Interesting for all ages

~ till next time ~
