Barcelona in 6 days

Happy New Year everyone! This would be my 1st post of the year! Enjoy~

who would have though, Christmas in Barcelona is great! although the 1st day was raining but at least the rest of the days we have blue sky. ^^ Hostel was great, food was good, the architectures were amazing, the people were friendly and shopping was awesome! Hola!

our hostel that we stayed for 5 nights. It's clean, convenient and the owner was really helpful. Thank you Habi!

good thing about staying in central is that everything was in walking distance.

save alot in transport. I would recommend to buy the T10 metro ticket. It's cheaper and you can use it for 10 times. It's more than enough

a must try in Barcelona are their Tapas.

It's delicious but it's not cheap either and cheap ones are cooked by Indian guy....hahaha

La Rambla is the place to shop and to see things. these guys are there everyday!

i'm still wondering how that 1st guy sit floating?

came across this interesting talking tour car. Who needs a tour guide, when you can drive a talking car.

Dali museum. The entrance fee was expensive so we decided to skip it

Along La Rambla there is a typical Spanish market, Mercat Boqueria. You can find seafood, vegetables, fruits and etc.

Casa Batllo. It's so unique and beautiiiiiiful. It was built in 1877 and remodelled in 1904-1906 by Antoni Gaudi and Josep M. Jujol.

It was name House of bones by the local because of it's skeletal organic quality.

these bicycles are a public automated rental for short distance in Barcelona. It's not for tourist!

it's for the locals! with only 24 Euro annually, local's can used this bicycles all around Barcelona town. There have hundred over station and 1.5k bicycles.

I wish we have this in Malaysia. It's convenient and it's environment friendly.

The famous Temple de La Sagrada Familia. It's a MUST go place. The entrance fee is not so expensive. Coz we have student card ;) about 12.50euro for normal ticket, discount ticket is about 10.50 euro.

Amazing! begun to built in 1882 till now. It's excepted to finished in 15 more years i think..

Rambla de Mar. Port Vell , or Old Port. It's one of the most romantic places in Barcelona,

well i was being told.

there are alot of boutiques, cafes, restaurants and also cinema.

that's Christopher Columbus monument, pointing towards the "New World". It's located at the site where Mr. C returned to Span after his first voyage to the Americas.

Parc Guell, built in 1900 - 1914, now a UNESCO site

in Parc Guell there is a Museum of Gaudi. I was told that Gaudi lived in this house from 1906 - 1926 but this building was built by Francesc Berenguer 1904.

next to Parc de Joan Miro with Dona I Ocell(women and bird) by Joan Miro. Formally this big park was a slaughterhouse. we didn't manage to walk the whole park which house 30 small sculptures by miro. kaki sakit!

Jalan until sakit kaki to Arc de Triomf. Unlike the arch of triumph in Paris made of marble, it was built of brick by Josep Vilaseca i Casanovas.

this is Hospital de la Santa creu i de sant pau(the name si pek long) also a UNESCO heritage site

built between 1901 & 1930 by modernist architect Lluis D.i. Domenech

it was a fully functioning hospital until 2009, it's currently under restoration.

Too bad~

last but not least to the beach. we were lucky that day because there was a somekind of expo...we get to have free titbits.....muhahaha

there is a row of sand deco on the beach......there is also a sand Sagrada familia church....

saw this weird looking structure.....i wonder what it's for?

they say no matter in summer or in winter there is always people surfing...... cool man but no thanks for me :S

we spend about 5 nights in Barcelona, and we had a great time. It was just nice to have a relax time schedule. ^^ Overall we love Barcelona baby! will be back again for sure.
