Usually we often like to travel when the kids are back to school means cheaper flights and hotels for us (people with no kids). This year we decided a week vacation to O'ahu , Hawai'i!
When we decided to travel to Hawai'i, i wasn't sure which island to visit as there are 8 islands in total and this is our first trip there.
after many research i finally decided on O'ahu, the most popular among the Hawaiian islands
After a 5 hours flight from San Francisco Airport we finally made it to Honolulu Airport(Daniel K. Inouye International Airport). From the airport we took Uber to our hotel in Waikiki. Cost $28 for us 2 person with a big luggage

can't believe the flight didn't include free meal.....didn't know United is a budget airline. Luckily i had a heavy lunch at the airport before we boarded.
and i was famish by the time we checked in to our hotel. Scrolled the internet to find yummy food.
Found one with the highest review Marukame Udon, which was just few blocks from our hotel. Tasty udon, tempura and great price. i do recommend it but the line is always long (fortunately they move fast) and prepared to sweat your balls off cause the air- conditioning there is non-existent
a nice stroll at Waikiki beach after a heavy meal and enjoy the sunset

by 8pm we were sleepy as California is 3 hours ahead of Hawaii. That's it for day 1
