Roma - Angels & Demons

Roma is a city with rich culture and heritage. We spend 5 days + 5 nights exploring this amazing city and we covered every area that we planned to visit. It was a tiring 5 days and eating fast food for every meal, but it was worth it.

Being in Roma reminds me of a movie "Angels & Demons". I didn't realized we went to all(well almost) of the sites which was in the movie. So i watched again the movie few days ago and decided to arrange the photos according to the movie flow(the part where Robert try to find the four preferiti).

Let our adventure begins ><

1st stop the Pantheon

Next stop, Piazza Del Alpopolo

Santa Maria del Popolo house 6 chapels and one of them is The Chigi Chapel. It was designed by Raphael as a private chapel for his friend Agostino Chigi

this is The Chigi Chapel - the place Robert found the 1st Preferiti(Earth)

2nd Preferity was found at the St. Peter's Square (Wind)

Next we went to St Maria Della Vittoria. It's a small church but the interior was

beautiful

this is where the 3rd Preferiti was burn(fire)

Final Preferiti was found here(water), Piazza Navona.

Alot of tourist likes to come here for food as there is a numbers of restaurant.

This is the Fountain of the Four Rivers also by Bernini.

The Danube, The Ranges River(representing Asia), The Nile River and The Rio della Plata(representing the riches of the Americas)

It a happening place, there was performance, food, shopping and

beautiful buildings surrounding this Piazza

Castel Sant Angelo(Mausoleumof Hadrian) is a towering cylindrical building in Roma.

inside it's now a museum(which we didn't enter)

the top statue depicts the angel from whom the building derived its name

Here is the place, Passetto di Borgo a secret way from the castle to the Vatican

These amazing statues on the bridge which leads to the Castle Sant Angelo, is again by Bernini

As we all know the next scene was taken inside of Vatican City(Sistine Chapel and so on)

so this is the end of my version of Angels & Demons trail. haha

It's always exciting to actually go to the places where we seen in movies, right?

i'm hoping to go Paris next and

go to all places as in the movie "The Da Vinci Code" fingers crossed :P
