Royal treat

Being in a new place isn't always easy, everything start from 0. We are really blessed to get to know nice people here(foreign people like us in Germany), learning each other's culture, culinary and also experience. I feel that expatriate are more open to each other, which is a good thing as we tend to look out for each other and also travel together. I could always ask for help when boon bullies me.

We always organize small gathering and last week we had a short tip to Pillnitz castle & park. The weather was perfect. It was a happy and comfy outing. ><

me, Mong San(she is from Taipei and lived in the same building as our's) and Chou(she is the Taiwan lady who married a British guy, Paul, and also the same person who brought me to the fitness center)^^ she makes kick ass dumpling

behind us is one of many Biergarden in Dresden

Have to take a boat to go to the other side of the river(as usual the boat ride is included in the monthly ticket)

That's the castle (Schloss Pillnitz)
The Elector Friedrich August, also known as The Strong, received the Pillnitz Palace on the death of his bro. His representation policies transformed Pillnitz into the "Indian" prelude to 24 planned themed amusement palaces, which were part of an overall concept of royal entertainments

it's summer home for the royalty

look familiar? :D

Pillnitz palace is an extraordinary ensemble of architecture and landscape gardening, set in the river landscape in front of the vineyards of the Elbe valley

Influenced by East Asian design, the construction of the water and mountain palace in the early 18th century laid the foundations for one of Europe's most significant Chinese style architectural structures. Even today, there are impressive signs of its transformation into the summer residence of the Saxon monarchy.

Too bad they don't allow us to take photo of the interior... :S
