Dixieland Festival~~!

Last week was the Dixieland Festival in Dresden(something like jazz music festival from around the world), it was fun and the weather was great(but kns damn windy %$^#). As usual the Germans are about

1. Beer

2. Sausage

3. More beer

4. More sausage ^^

It was a very happening scene and everyone was dancing, drinking, hopping from 1 performance to another and just having a great time with family and friends. I even notice that alot of people was wearing a funny hat(with flowers, with beer can and other crazy stuff) haha it was funny but it's fun to be loony sometimes :P. Pity for me i was walking alone with my camera (boo hoo) but i do enjoy the music(i love Jazz).

Grave DANGER!!! >;)

As i was strolling the other day, i came across a cemetery. It looks spooky from the outside as it was surrounded with high walls and tall trees, so i decided to check out this German cemetery(don't know why I'm so brave..hehe). It wasn't so bad inside, it was neatly maintain and flowers were everywhere(you know how i go gaga over flower..hehe^^). The place was huge but i just walked around the front part because not a soul was there :S(except mine of cause).

Cemetery is a good place to reflect one's life i think. Seeing the dead would makes us appreciate life more. So lived life to the fullest, regret doing something is better then regret doing nothing. What do you think?

My 1st GDR

I know i know, looking at the photos u must be thinking that I've enter the world of "aunty". Although i must admit that my daily activities does include the typical housewife's chores(buy groceries, cook, clean...etc) but lately I've discover a new hobby, which is collecting GDR(German Democratic Republic) or DDR(Deutsche Demokratische Republik) items.

Most of the GDR items are well preserved. I'm buying bit by bit because it don't come cheap, so this is my 1st collection.

Royal treat

Being in a new place isn't always easy, everything start from 0. We are really blessed to get to know nice people here(foreign people like us in Germany), learning each other's culture, culinary and also experience. I feel that expatriate are more open to each other, which is a good thing as we tend to look out for each other and also travel together. I could always ask for help when boon bullies me.

We always organize small gathering and last week we had a short tip to Pillnitz castle & park. The weather was perfect. It was a happy and comfy outing. ><

No wonder i'm FAT - Part 1

It's been 1 month and 5 days, i'm here in Dresden. A person who can't cook in the past can proudly say she can now^^. Here are some successful dishes that i would like to share(can see but cannot eat..haha!)
